Bahasa Indonesia/ Learn Indonesian language

One of most important when you will visit another country is to learn their language...Normally the local people will more appreciate and more welcome if we talk using their language...

The Indonesian name for the language is Bahasa Indonesia (lit. "the language of Indonesia"). This term can sometimes still be found in written or spoken English. In addition, the language is sometimes referred to as "Bahasa" by English speakers, though this simply means "language" and thus is also not an official term for the Indonesian language.

Indonesian people are very friendly. Eventhoug they will always come up to you in the street and try to practice their English but it is good if you can learn just a little of their language.

Indonesian language is very easy to learn ( it is not because i'm Indonesian he..he but if compare to the danish language is really more easy to learn Indonesia )

Here is a simple word " magic" word you can used when you visit Indonesia......-) enjoy !

English Bahasa Indonesia

Thank you. Terima kasih
Good morgen. Selamat pagi
Good afternoon Selamat siang ( 10 am - 2 pm ) selamat sore ( 2-6 pm)
Good night Selamat malam ( 7 pm - 12 pm )
I saya
You Anda or kamu
kamu ( you can said kamu if you already know them well )
I'm hungry saya lapar
I'm tired saya cape
May I ask you something ? Boleh saya bertanya ?
I'm glad saya senang.
I want saya ingin

In Indonesia is not common to said their name directly ( unless you already know them well ) normally we still called them in formal to show our respect. Dont get surprised to heard them called you Mister (for man )or madam ( for women). That is the way they are show you the respect

we called them " Ibu " women who more older. or " Mbak " to the women more younger than ibu.

For men we called the same " bapak ".
